Art Detour: March 15-20, 2018

Art Detour, a multi-day community arts celebration that will take place March 15-20, 2018 throughout greater downtown Phoenix. This will mark the 30th anniversary of the festival, which will feature open studios and galleries, “meet the artist” talks and demos, self-guided trolley tours, street art, pop-up galleries, hands-on activities for families, performances and more. Named as “one of the most important events on Phoenix’s calendar” by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Art Detour 30 will highlight the influence of the arts in developing the dynamic city we enjoy today.

Step into more than 100 artist studios, galleries and other venues, as well as enjoy performances and activities. A “Kids’ Detour” with family-friendly activities will also be featured, as well as pop-up galleries, and docent-guided shuttles.


  • Friday, March 18 – Experience the resurgance of the Warehouse District neighborhood where Art Detour began! African American Artists will display their works at the museum!! Attendees will get to see artists at work, talk to artists directly and be inspired by the creative energy that infuses downtown Phoenix. The event offers something for everyone in the family and makes visible the importance of the arts in defining our city.
